One of the UK’s leading suppliers of two-way radios, Apex Radio Systems Ltd, is looking for an organised, solutions orientated individual to join their team as an Accounts Assistant in their Gateshead office.

ABOUT APEX RADIO SYSTEMS LTD

Apex is looking for an Accounts Assistant to work in their Gateshead based Accounts team - and with their Sales, Marketing & Service teams.

The successful candidate will be:

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Annual salary

Up to £28,000 depending on experience.

  • Working week

Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, with a 30-minute lunch break.
Total hours per week: 37.50

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicants must have GCSE grades 4-9 (A-C) in English and maths or equivalent qualifications
Responsibilities
  • Support the management of all financial affairs, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and budgetary responsibilities.
  • Maintain company records and files, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and asset records.
  • Help review and enter information into accounting systems, including journal entries and purchase orders.
  • Manage and reconcile payments on various banking platforms.
  • Manage petty cash.
  • Maintain office supplies inventory.
  • Maintain and manage online account portals.
  • Prepare, edit, and post monthly invoices, statements, and credit notes.
  • Maintain supply inventory and records.
  • Other duties as assigned.
