JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department in various tasks, ensuring accurate financial records and efficient processing of accounts payable. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations and will involve working with various accounting software systems.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and BrightManager is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred, particularly in financial services.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders.
• A solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.

• Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
• Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and Bright Manager for daily operations.
• Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of financial tasks.
• Maintain organised records of financial transactions and documentation for audits.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as required.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable and other financial matters.
