JOB SUMMARY

Due to the expansion of a company specialising in the provision of financial transfers and banking services, with extensive experience and an impeccable reputation, we are seeking an Accounts Assistant.
We are a dynamic team working in the field of finance and international business. The company holds a key financial license issued by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), the UK regulator of financial institutions and banks.

REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for a proactive, energetic, ambitious, and goal-oriented individual to join our new team! You must be communicative, attentive, highly focused, and a quick learner. Fluency in English is essential, as well as having the right to work in the UK (valid visa or work permit). This is a role for somebody who has at least 3 years’ experience in accounting and bookkeeping who wants to jump straight into the real world of fintech.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ACCA educated or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Banking and Finance, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 years’ accounts assistant experience
  • Responsible, proactive, and well-organised
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively
  • Confident computer user (Word, Excel, Outlook, CRM)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; personable and articulate

    Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Responsibilities will include:
  • Conduct daily and weekly bank reconciliations in the database, identifying and investigating any discrepancies
  • Prepare and execute daily and weekly business payment runs, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and accurate
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries, invoices, expenses, including those related to intercompany transactions and treasury activities
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving working capital management and enhancing cashflow efficiency
  • Gain hands-on experience by rotating through core finance functions: accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial accounting
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements and ensure financial alignment
  • Support internal audit activities and contribute to ad hoc finance projects as required
  • Prepare and maintain accurate supporting documentation for treasury-related transactions and initiatives
  • Contribute to daily cash flow reporting and summarisation
  • Support financial systems setup and maintenance, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
  • Learn directly from team professionals, with structured training and ongoing support provided
