ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
We are a full-service law firm based in the heart of Newcastle city centre and we are currently recruiting for our Accounts Team.
Hay & Kilner provides a comprehensive service across an extensive range of practice areas, which covers all of our client’s legal requirements.
We are recruiting for an accounts assistant to work at our state of the art Newcastle city centre office. This is a full time permanent role as an integral part of our existing Accounts and Finance team and will support our Management Accountant and Finance Manager.
Prior experience of working within a professional services firm would be advantageous but not essential.
· Debt Recovery & Credit Control
o Issue credit control letters to clients and follow up on outstanding payments.
o Send payment links and ‘Letters Before Action’ where appropriate.
o Maintain accurate records of communications and outcomes.
· Transaction Reconciliation
o Reconcile credit card transactions using our case management system.
o Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
· Supplier Invoices & Payments
o Process incoming supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate approvals.
o Schedule and process payments to suppliers, ensuring adherence to due dates.
· Internal Financial Queries
o Respond to finance-related queries from clients of the firm and colleagues across the firm and also suppliers.
o Provide guidance on payments, transactions, and internal financial processes.
· Other ad hoc finance tasks to support the existing team
