The Role
The team at Height for Hire are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its Finance team. This role is based on-site in Ashbourne, Co Meath.
The role is to work as part of a busy Finance team, reporting to the Senior Accountant. This role requires an individual who is highly motivated and is a self-starter and has previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role

Duties

  • Processing banking payments and receipts, reconciling multiple bank accounts and investigating any discrepancies
  • VAT, VIES, Intrastat for ROI and UK companies
  • Inter company expense recharges and VISA expense reconciliations
  • Accounts Payable –processing of purchase invoices, reconciliation of creditors accounts
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including month end procedures and reconciliations
  • Various other ad-hoc reporting as and when required by finance.

The Person

  • Part-qualified Accountant/Accounting Technician
  • Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant role
  • 1-2 years’ experience of working in a busy Finance department
  • Excellent attention to detail is essential for this role
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Have the ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as under pressure.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Be methodical and organised.
  • Have the ability to multi task effectively and work within strict deadlines

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €30,000.00-€33,000.00 per year
