WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • A relevant accounting or finance qualification, such as a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Prefer candidates with at least 1 year of experience in an accounts assistant or similar role, preferably within the construction industry, Fresh applicants are welcome to apply; training will be provided.

  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a diligent and organised Accounts Assistant to join the finance team . This full-time role will be based in our offices near the Tai Seng area. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our accounting and financial operations.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Follow up with suppliers and internal departments on queries and discrepancies
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
  • Process invoices, petty cash claim and other accounting documents in a timely manner
  • Prepare entries for AP closing and assist with month-end closing
  • Assist in quarterly GST returns
  • Reconciliation of AP sub-ledger accounts and monthly vendor statement
  • Provide support with the preparation of monthly management accounts and periodic financial reports
  • Assist with the administration of payroll and other related tasks
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant accounting standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and support as needed
