Accounts Assistant
Cork
Office based
Optimize Recruitment are partnering with a high performing business who are a leader in their market and distribute their products for high profile global brands in their industry.
You will be part of a company who changed the model of their industry in Ireland and became one of Irelands number one brands for their market.
This role requires a confident person who is efficient on the phone and engaging with customers accounts through to payment processing. This role will work closely with the Head of Finance and wider accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing collections and ensuring customer accounts are maintained and reconciled
- Supporting customer queries
- Manage debt collection – preparing and processing customer payments
- Preparation of account reconciliations
- Assisting with month end accounting procedures
- Reporting on KPI’s weekly
- Processing supplier invoices and reconciliations
- Providing support to other members of team and undertake various administrative and data entry tasks related to financial operations
- Any ad-hoc duties the department may require
Candidate Requirements:
- 2 + years; experience in similar finance role
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Google Sheets and G suite is advantageous
- Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Self-motivated and deadline driven with strong attention to detail
- Strong problem solving and organisational skills
