Description

Our client in Kidderminster is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join the clients finance team.
You will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation by managing accounts payable, assisting with data entry, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. This position is ideal for individuals who are looking for part time work for 20 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in data entry with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage is essential
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
    Hours - 9:30 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday (Can be flexible on the hours to suit)
    Expected hours: 20 hours per week
    Please note that although this role is part time it is going to become full time in the 2 years with training to become the Office Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist in managing accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling.
  • Utilise accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or Workday to input and track financial transactions.
  • Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as required.
  • Maintain organised files and documentation for easy retrieval and reference.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal teams regarding account discrepancies or payment issues.
