Ergo is the largest privately-owned IT services provider in Ireland. With companies spread across 6 countries, Ergo has a diverse workforce of just over 700 each with their own goals, needs and personalities.
We are seeking a Accounts Assistant for a permanent role based in Dublin (hybrid).
The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a range of daily and monthly accounting tasks and reconciliations. This role will also provide ad hoc support to other areas of the finance team as/when required.
This role will report on a daily basis to the Senior Financial Accountant.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 3-5 years’ experience working as an Accounts Assistant.
  • Part ACCA qualified, or plan on doing ACCA exams is desirable.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting /Diploma preferred.
  • IT Literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Navision and/or Sage is desirable
  • Strong communications skills, over the phone and via email.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in data entry and financial processing.
Responsibilities
  • Reconciliation of PAYE, VAT and Payroll control accounts
  • Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Coordinate credit card and Revolut payments
  • Reconciliation of intercompany accounts
  • Posting monthly Payroll & PAYE journals
  • Preparation of VAT, VIES & Intrastat returns for a number of entities
  • Assisting external accountants with US sales tax returns
  • Prepare monthly sales, payroll and other costs reports to support month end reporting
