COMPANY OVERVIEW

Polar Glaze Windows, Doors & Conservatories Ltd. is an independent family business dedicated to manufacturing and installing bespoke windows, doors, and conservatories for both residential and trade customers in the Dorset area.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a bookkeeper experienced in sales and purchase ledger.

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:-

  • Purchase Ledger – entering of supplier invoices/credits, raising monthly bill payments and statement reconciliations.
  • Sales Ledger - entering sales invoices and receipts to include matching to bank, and credit control. Liaising with sales team.
  • Bank – matching all receipts and payments to sales and purchase ledger.
  • Admin – filing and adhoc duties relating to sales and purchase ledger.

AAT qualified preferred but not essential. Must have ongoing experience with sales and purchase ledger.

Responsibilities

SKILLS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software is a must.
  • Administrative or accounting responsibilities for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A thorough approach to tackling problems and the ability to work methodically.
  • Time management and the ability to prioritise their workload.
  • The ability to work on your own and as part of a team with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Checking incoming and outgoing payments for accuracy and recording petty cash transactions.
  • Preparation of bank deposits.
    Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 3.00pm or 3 to 4 days per week. Half an hour for lunch.
