Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and managing insurance claims. You will assist in the preparation of full sets of management accounts, unaudited financial statements, consolidated financial statements, and business activity reports. Your contributions will also include financial accounting, corporate reporting activities, and tax compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Prepare and submit GST returns and tax computations.
  • Assist the accountant with daily financial tasks and reporting.
  • Handle and manage petty cash transactions.
  • Process and manage insurance claims efficiently.
  • Reconcile financial statements and ensure accuracy in reporting.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, assuming shared responsibilities.
  • Maintain clear communication with colleagues regarding financial matters.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients.
