FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Role: Accounts Assistant
Location: Carlow
Salary: €30,000+ pa pro rata
3 month Contract with a view to permanency, FT 5 Days per week
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience 2+ years in industry in finance-related role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (preferably Sage 50).
- Payroll experience and related systems are necessary.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and errors in financial data.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Team Player: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to the overall success of the finance department.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address issues effectively.

Pay: €30,000.00-€33,000.00 per year

Responsibilities:
- Accounts Processing: Assist with the day-to-day processing of invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Experience processing payroll a distinct advantage.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Assist in the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Office Administration: Perform general office duties, including filing, organising, and managing accounting records.
- Ad-hoc Finance Tasks: Assist with any other finance-related tasks as required by the Manager.
