EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT:

  • Experience working in a finance-related role within industry or accountancy practice
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong decision-making, time management, and organisational skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to work
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Previous experience within the property sector is desirable but not essential
  • Experience within Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

Responsibilities

MAIN DUTIES FOR THE ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT:

  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions for assigned client accounts
  • Perform accurate and timely reconciliations of client funds
  • Create and process payment runs in line with contractual rules and deadlines
  • Allocate incoming payments appropriately
  • Respond to internal and external queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Manage shared finance inboxes and correspondence
  • Prepare monthly account reports and financial statements
  • Provide administrative support and undertake ad hoc finance-related tasks as required
