Job Introduction:
As an Accounts Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in keeping the site running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely financial administration of the Mess, including billing, debtor/creditor management, and customer service.
What You’ll Do:

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using internal systems
  • Produce and issue monthly mess bills on time
  • Allocate and reconcile Direct Debits and cash payments
  • Maintain debtor and creditor ledgers to support effective cash flow
  • Respond to mess member queries promptly and professionally
  • Maintain accurate mess membership lists (joiners, leavers) import EPOS sales, monthly charges, and function charges
  • Manage private function billing (quotes, invoices, payment links) and process related forms
  • Ensure secure storage and banking of cash/cheques in line with procedures
  • Generate and send reports to stakeholders and clients

Experience Required:

  • Minimum AAT Level 2 Qualification
  • Previous experience in transactional finance or accounts support
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
