Job Title: Accounts Assistant
Department: Accounts
Location: Gainsborough
Contract: Temporary - 2 months initially, with potential to extend to a permanent role
Hours of Work: Full-time (37 hours per week). Part-time or flexible hours may be considered.
Office Hours: Monday–Thursday, 08:30 – 17:00 (1-hour lunch) and Friday, 08:30 – 16:00 (30-minute lunch)

At a time of continued growth, huge investment and ever-increasing order book, we are seeking a motivated and organised Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts team.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
  • Previous office or administrative experience (advantageous, but not essential).

Responsibilities

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Accounts team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Filing and scanning documents to maintain accurate records.
  • Matching purchase orders to invoices.
  • Entering data accurately into internal systems.
  • Assisting with supplier and customer queries.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Preparing and issuing customer statements.
  • General administrative support to the Accounts team and wider business.
