WWS IRELAND OFFICE & ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
A reputable Agri Business located near Little Island in Cork is seeking a skilled and dependable Accounts Assistant to join their team. This part-time, on-site position requires a commitment of 4 to 5 days per week, with flexible scheduling available. The role involves direct reporting to the Operations Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar Accounts Assistant, administrative role and or credit control position.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A friendly, courteous, and helpful demeanour.

Responsibilities:
· Utilize Xero accounting software to maintain accurate financial records, including entering invoices and processing payments.
· Follow up on overdue accounts and support credit control initiatives.
· Conduct debt collection via phone, letters, and email, updating the system in real-time.
- Prepare income tax and VAT returns.
- Handle client phone calls and foster strong relationships with existing clients and the Sales Team.
- Assist in preparing and executing payment runs.
- Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Support general ledger accounting, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
- Prepare and monitor invoices and process various payment methods, including online, Direct Debit, Credit Card, and Cheques.
- Regularly reconcile bank statements with the accounting system.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or anomalies.
