JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of the organisation and will involve working with various accounting software systems.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with team members and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks.
  • Manage day to day invoicing.
  • Managing the payroll for the organisation on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
  • Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary reports and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial transactions and account statuses.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations across the organisation.
