Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Auditor to join our team in Benin City, Nigeria. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reporting processes. Conduct thorough audits of financial statements, accounting records, and internal control systems Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, inefficiencies, or areas of non-compliance Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to management Develop and implement audit procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness Ensure compliance with Nigerian financial regulations, tax laws, and international accounting standards Collaborate with internal departments to address audit findings and implement corrective actions Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports Participate in special projects and investigations as required Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting or auditing Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and tax laws Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail Strong time management and organizational abilities Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis Ability to work independently and as part of a team Additional Information 1.
