We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts Clerk to join our head office team based at our Corporate Dandenong Head Office.

Responsibilities

WHAT IS THIS ROLE ALL ABOUT?

The Accounts Clerk role is all about assisting our Finance team to meet deadlines in reporting.
The successful applicant must possess knowledge of the MYOB\EXO system and have an accounting and or bookkeeping background.
High attention to detail, leadership skills, autonomy, excellent customer service skills, hardworking and a positive can-do attitude are all required.

You will be responsible for assisting in :-

  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Fleet accounting and analysis; including on-fleeting and off-fleeting vehicles onto our accounting software
  • Monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts
  • Producing monthly Profit and Loss centre reports
  • Providing assistance to the Accountant where required;
  • Handling payments and eftpos reconciliations
  • Reviewing accurate financial results
  • Continuous improvement of processes to maximise operational efficiencies;
  • Bank Reconciliations and banking batches
  • General office administration duties
  • Paying and managing registrations for 3000+ vehicles
  • Liaising with customers and account applications
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with current and future customers
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required

Ideal candidates will possess:-

  • Solid experience in a similar role and possession of interpersonal skills
  • Sound knowledge of double entry accounting and bookkeeping
  • High-end numerical reasoning;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in a SME business
