OVERVIEW

The Accounts Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the finance team by managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and facilitating smooth financial operations. This role is responsible for processing invoices, payroll, maintaining financial data, assisting with reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end processes. The Accounts Coordinator ensures compliance with internal procedures and external regulations, contributing to the overall financial health and efficiency of the organization.

REQUIREMENTS

  • AAT or equivalent 3 to 5 years’ experience on managing accounts
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive individual who is able to prioritise well and work with many moving pieces
  • Willingness to collaborate, share and seek ideas and input from others, work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances in a positive and calm manner
  • Computer literate; essential knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Opera knolodge would be an advntage
  • An appreciation and respect for diverse cultures, opinions, and values.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines; a capacity to experiment with new ideas and methods especially in the field of intercultural learning and intercultural competency.
  • A strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain client accounts, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Assisting with essential ledgers including sales, purchase, nominal and payroll, this includes preparing and producing monthly management accounts for the Finance Manager
  • Compiling cash, bank, VAT and budget reconciliation whilst dealing with HMRC, banks and auditors
  • Constantly strive to improve processes and procedures within the Finance function to ensure work is being delivered in an efficient and effective manner
  • Report to the Finance Manager on any budget updates, expenses and credit card discrepancies
  • Assisting with the preparation of other financial reports and returns as required
  • Coordinating monthly payroll and dealing with any payroll enquiries from employees
  • Working alongside HR to ensure all information is required for new starters, leavers and payroll enquiries
  • Ensuring that all finance records, both electronic and paper based, are accurately maintained and kept up to date, and held securely in accordance with Data Protection legislation
  • Assisting with any internal and external audit requests
  • Deputizing for the Finance Manager and covering payroll.
