Job Description:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have robust experience with the Tally accounting system, proficiency in MS Excel, and fluency in both English and Hindi. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy of our financial records, managing customer orders, communicating with customers and vendors, taking inventory, placing orders for materials, and supporting the overall financial health of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter and manage financial transactions in Tally.
- Maintain and update account books and accounting records in Tally.
- Generate financial reports and statements from Tally as required.
- Perform data analysis and generate reports using Excel functions and formulas.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities with Excel tools.
General Accounting Duties:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Reconcile accounts and bank statements.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist with payroll processing.
- Keep track of receivable collections and ensure timely payments.
- Customer and Vendor Management:
- Manage customer orders and ensure timely processing and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with customers and vendors to resolve any issues and provide excellent service.
- Maintain good relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms.
- Inventory and Materials Management:
- Take inventory regularly and ensure accurate records.
- Place orders for materials as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage inventory turnover to minimize waste and optimize storage.
- Administrative Support:
- Support the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
- Language Skills:
- Fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory, both written and verbal.
