Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the entire finance function of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust cash flow management, and compliance with all statutory obligations. Working closely with the Director, you will provide financial insight to support strategic decision-making, oversee the day-to-day operation of accounts, and ensure the efficient management of payments, receipts, and invoicing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all company financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor cash flow and provide timely financial updates to the Director.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients regarding payment and account queries.
  • Lead and mentor any finance support staff as the team develops.

GENERAL ACCOUNTANCY & ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and other statutory filings.
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.
  • Maintain organised records and filing systems for all financial documentation.
  • Liaise with external accountants during year-end and audits.
