About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts & Finance Officer to support the day-to-day finance and accounting functions of our growing meat processing, export and trading businesses.

This is a hands-on role covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations and general accounting administration. You will work closely with management and assist in maintaining accurate and timely financial records across multiple related entities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Process supplier invoices and prepare supplier payments
  • Issue customer invoices and follow up outstanding accounts
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Process payroll and maintain payroll records
  • Reconcile supplier and customer statements
  • Maintain accurate records in Xero
  • Assist with BAS and other accounting/tax reporting preparation
  • Maintain payment schedules and monitor overdue accounts
  • Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Prepare basic financial and management reports as required
  • Maintain organised accounting records and supporting documentation
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, accountants and internal management
  • Provide general finance and administration support

About You

  • Previous experience in an Accounts Officer, Finance Officer or similar role
  • Good working knowledge of Xero
  • Experience with AP, AR and bank reconciliations
  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Strong Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple companies and accounts
  • Able to work independently and follow up outstanding matters
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

Experience in meat processing, export, wholesale, manufacturing or logistics industries would be advantageous but is not essential.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who is practical, organised and accountable. This role would suit a person who enjoys taking ownership of day-to-day accounts and making sure payments, receipts and reconciliations are kept accurate and up to date. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English is preferred, as the role involves regular communication with both English and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

Pay: $53,000.00 – $85,900.00 per year
