TEDDINGTON’S

We are a smart farm shop and we also own / run a steakhouse restaurant using beef from our own herd. We’re looking for a qualified and experienced accounts professional to join our team, who is looking for a role that is more commercial rather than simply accounts. This role would suit someone who is proactive, team orientated, interested in food, wants to enjoy coming to work and, is interested in progressing the business forward.

We’re after a pro-active accounts professional — someone who enjoys tidy systems, resolves problems and who wants to be involved with running the business as a key member of the team. You’ll manage the purchase and sales ledgers, till reports, vat reports and office admin duties for our lovely team of employees. You will receive plenty of support from our wider team and chartered accountant.
This role is NOT a data entry role.
· Managing supplier payments
· Managing purchases
· Inputting till reports and monitoring accuracy, etc
· Reconciling of cash accounts with records and following established and secure cash handling procedures
· Preparing regular basic financial analysis
· Day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero
· Bank reconciliations, sales and purchase ledger, and journals
· VAT returns and preparing for management accounts
· Using tools like Dext, Office 365, Excel and Microsoft Teams
· Liaising with suppliers and customers to gather info, answering questions and providing friendly, proactive support
· General office administration duties
· Recruitment and onboarding for new staff members
What We’re Looking For:
✅ You’re a qualified bookkeeper (AAT, ICB or equivalent)
✅ You have hands-on experience with bookkeeping, including sales and purchase ledgers
✅ You’re confident using cloud accounting tools
✅ You’re proactive, detail-focused and a team player
Desired but not essential:
· Knowledge of HR processes and policies
· Knowledge of retail accounting
· Confident using in Microsoft Teams and Office 365
· Have used tools like Dext
40 hours per week – the days and times are completely flexible to fit into your personal life
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
