  • Experience with aged care and home care is preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of Excel, including the knowledge and understanding of functions/formulas preferred.

  • Strong working experience of accounting software packages

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE …

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Officer to work in close collaboration with a small team of Accounts Officers and be directly responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of accurate and timely statements to our Consumer Directed Care (CDC) clients including Home Care, DVA and CHSP clients. The focus of the role is on coordinating and streamlining efficient client services and financial data from a variety of internal and external sources. Some of the key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Maintain accurate information of CDC clients in Excel database and Client Management System.
  • Process accounts payable of CDC expenditure.
  • Process accounts receivable of CDC income.
  • Collaborate with Case Managers and Co-ordinators, CDC accounts colleagues and other MiCare staff to establish correct service and financial data.
  • Contribute to the completion of the accounting team monthly objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to the Home Care (Finance) Team Leader / Finance Manager.
  • Transition to new software programs should organisational requirements necessitate.
