Job Description The Accounts Officer is responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Reconciliation processes. You will be directly reporting to the Financial Controller, ensuring prompt and precise payments to vendors, alongside managing the accounts receivable system to ensure timely debtor collections. Moreover, you will play a vital role in conducting routine account reconciliations to uphold financial accuracy and prevent any financial losses. This a 12-month contract role with a view to become permanent and grow within the business. Key Functions & Responsibilities End-to-end processes for accounts payable, receivable, and reconciliation. Ensure accurate processing and recording of transactions and cash movements. Handle tasks such as matching Purchase Orders, invoice allocations and coding. Reconcile creditor and debtor statements, resolving any invoice discrepancies. Perform bank and accounts reconciliations. Manage vendors and customer files, including handling credit applications and debt collections. Assist month-end closing procedures. Support audit activities as needed. Assist payments and receivables for cash flow management. Contribute to driving continuous improvement within the organization. Assist with other tasks as required. 12-month contract with the potential to be permanent Qualifications 1-2 years of proven experience in a similar role with full understanding of end-to-end AP & AR functions. Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Business Certificate or Diploma in Accounting Experience using ERP systems such as Movex, PowerBI, Xero, Dynamic 365 Experience in manufacturing or FMCG background. Skills & Knowledge Exceptional written and oral communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Good time management skills, ability to work to deadlines Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel (Xlookup, Pivot Table preferable) Flexible, agile and with a can-do attitude. Strong phone etiquette and ability to push back when needed Personal Attributes Maintains a persuasive and credible presentation style.
