About the role

Our long-serving accountant is retiring after 15 years with us, and we're looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to take over the day-to-day finance function. You'll get a structured handover and overlap period with her, and you'll work directly with the CEO and leadership team. This is a hands-on, end-to-end bookkeeping and payroll role in MYOB – ideal for someone who wants to own the whole accounts cycle rather than one slice of it.

Key responsibilities

• Distribute daily bank and credit card statements to accounts, credit control and admin
• Process daily payments via ANZ and AMEX
• Reconcile the ANZ bank accounts and bank any cash received
• Allocate materials in MYOB from procurement data
• Raise customer invoices for service call-outs and inverter service rebates, and proforma invoices for deposits
• Match STC payments received against OSW invoices
• Prepare weekly payables and receivables reports, reconciled with HubSpot
• Process fortnightly payroll, including superannuation and STP
• Lodge and pay PAYG by the 20th of each month
• Prepare and lodge the quarterly BAS

About you

• 5+ years in a hands-on bookkeeping or accounts role in an Australian SME
• Confident in MYOB (AccountRight or Business), including payroll, bank feeds and reconciliations
• Solid working knowledge of Australian payroll, superannuation, STP, PAYG and BAS
• Strong reconciliation skills and close attention to detail
• Comfortable in Excel; CRM experience (HubSpot) is a bonus. Solar Industry Experience is a bonus
• Organised, discreet with confidential information, and able to run the function autonomously
