Description

Accounts Officer – Full Time

Guardian Personal Alarms | Warwick, Perth WA

$75,000–$78,000 + Super | Full Time | Office Based | Free Onsite Parking

Are you an experienced accounts all-rounder who is ready to step into a senior role?

Guardian Personal Alarms is looking for an experienced Accounts Officer to join our growing Finance & Accounts team.

This is a hands-on position for someone with strong, broad accounts experience who is confident in Xero, enjoys solving problems and is comfortable being someone others can turn to for guidance and support.

You’ll work closely with our Finance & Accounts Manager and Senior Accounts Officer, helping to provide additional experience, capability and support across the accounts function.

While this is not a management position, we are looking for someone who is comfortable stepping up when needed — whether that means assisting less experienced team members, helping manage day-to-day priorities, or providing additional senior support when the Finance & Accounts Manager or the Senior Accounts Officer is on leave.

If you're an accounts all-rounder who can confidently move between Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, debtors, reconciliations and general accounts administration, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
  • Processing supplier invoices and payments
  • Raising customer invoices and allocating payments
  • Managing debtors and following up outstanding accounts
  • Assisting with payroll processing and payroll administration
  • Completing bank and account reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate financial records in Xero
  • Investigating and resolving account discrepancies
  • Providing guidance and practical support to less experienced team members when required
  • Helping answer accounts queries and sharing your knowledge with the team
  • Identifying opportunities to improve accounts processes and ways of working

Our wish list

We'd love to find someone who is:

  • A genuine Xero guru
  • Highly experienced across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Experienced with payroll
  • Confident with debtor management and collections
  • Strong with reconciliations, invoicing and general accounts administration
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident investigating discrepancies and solving problems
  • A supportive team player who enjoys sharing their knowledge
