Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional with an interest in accounting and taxation to join our Accounts Payable team. Accounting Lithuania is a Vilnius-based unit within Swedbank AB Group Finance. As part of our dynamic and continuously evolving team, you will contribute to high-quality financial operations across the Group. As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, including invoice reconciliation, vendor account management, payment processing, and compliance with internal policies. At Swedbank, you will have the opportunity to: Manage the Accounts Payable process, including invoice accounting, reconciliation, and ongoing vendor account administration and maintenance. Process and review employee expense reimbursements, including corporate business card expenses, business trip costs, and related accounting entries, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures. Ensure accurate and timely payment execution, and identify and resolve discrepancies with suppliers. Contribute to the identification and implementation of automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives within finance processes. What is needed in this role: Higher education degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. At least one year of hands-on accounting or finance experience. Fluency in English and Lithuanian (both written and verbal). Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Background knowledge of Lithuanian tax legislation, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) are considered an advantage. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
