What can you expect?
The Accounts Payable & Accounting Assistant will assist the Accounts Payable & Purchasing Administrator in successfully executing the Accounts Payable & Purchasing function, as well as support Day Audit and other Accounting functions.
This job might be right for you if you think you would really enjoy:

Assisting in the execution of the Accounts Payable & Purchasing function, including:

• Purchase order and disbursement requisition review and processing.
• Completing credit applications.
• Printing vouchers and maintaining the voucher log.
• Processing employee expense reports.
• Reconciliation of vendor accounts, including investigation and resolution of discrepancies.
• Maintaining the purchasing email inbox.
• Maintaining the accounts payable filing system and scanning.
• Sorting incoming mail and mailing completed cheque runs.
• Entering invoices into the accounting system.
• Assisting with other accounts payable tasks as required.

Assisting with the Day Audit and other Accounting functions as required, including:

• Assisting with the day audit filing.
• Assisting with other reporting and/or data entry tasks as required.

Other duties may be requested and assigned periodically.
