Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Manager, you will play a key role in managing the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, managing cash flow, and ensuring strong cash management operations. This role will report directly to the Group Financial Controller and will include the leadership of a small team of AP/AR administrators, whilst also optimising cash management and ensuring compliance with financial policies. The role is critical in supporting VoCoVo’s growth and ensuring financial stability through effective cash management and process improvements.
This is a hybrid position and requires 1 day per week working from our office in Shipton-Under-Wychwood OX7 6XU.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Oversee the AP and AR functions, ensuring efficient invoice processing, payments and collections.
  • Manage a team of 2-3 AP/AR administrators, providing leadership, training and performance management.
  • Ensure timely supplier payments whilst optimising cash flow and analysing effective payment strategies.
  • Improve credit control processes to minimise overdue debts and enhance collections.
  • Implement best practices to streamline AP/AR processes and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Take ownership of cash flow forecasting, ensuring accuracy and proactive liquidity management.
  • Monitor daily cash positions and manage short-term funding requirements.
  • Support the Group FC in liaising with banks and financial institutions to manage banking relationships and optimise cash management solutions.
  • Assist in foreign exchange (FX) risk management where applicable.
  • Develop and implement financial controls to ensure accuracy in AP, AR and cash management functions.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including automation of transactional finance processes.
  • Collaborate closely with IT and finance teams to enhance existing finance systems and reporting capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations and audit requirements.
  • Prepare AP, AR and cash flow reports.
  • Work as part of the finance team to support month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Provide insights on cash flow trends and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Work closely with the Group FC to analyse and align cash flow with business operations.
