JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk to join our team. As an Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing and managing all accounts payable transactions for the company. This is a vital role in ensuring accurate financial records and maintaining positive vendor relationships.

SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in account reconciliation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of public accounting principles and practices
  • Experience with journal entries and general ledger maintenance
  • Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations accurately
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and relevant regulations
  • Excellent skills in bank reconciliation procedures
  • Analytical mindset for effective account analysis
  • Knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
  • Understanding of debits, credits, and their impact on financial statements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in bookkeeping/accounting in Real Estate Development or Property Management
  • Experience working in Real Estate Management a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

· Property expense management
· AIA Requisitions, billing, posting and paying
· Subcontractor & contractor reconciliation
· Process invoices
· Perform, posting and data entry
· Allocate all credit card expenses to appropriate property
· Reconcile multiple bank accounts monthly
· Review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
· CAM escalation and calculations
· Generate delinquency reports and follow up with tenants regarding outstanding balances
· Collections
· Properly record soft and hard costs
· Financial statement preparation including variance analysis and commentaries for month end and year end close.
· Prepare journal entries for R/E tax – Escrow adjustment, property acquisition and bank/CC adjustments
· Verify mortgage loan principal and real estate tax escrow account balances tie to monthly mortgage statements from lenders
· Draft correspondences and other formal documents
