Do you enjoy supporting a busy administration & accounting team? We’re looking for a detail-oriented, client-focused, and friendly team player with strong Microsoft Excel skills to join our growing, family-owned company – proudly serving Nova Scotians for over 100 years.
As part of our busy office in the Burnside Industrial Park, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related education
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Professional, friendly, and team-oriented attitude
  • Highly organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • A positive, client-first mindset
    This is a full-time, permanent foundational role with a competitive compensation package including benefits, pension matching, and other employee incentives. Responsibilities
  • Accurately post accounts payable and vendor invoices in coordination with the management, inventory, installation and service teams
  • Prepare client inspection reports for our fire services team using Microsoft Excel
  • Handle daily phone and email communications with clients and colleagues
  • Process credit card and ACH payments over the phone
  • Follow up with clients regarding outstanding accounts receivable and service cancellations
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and note-taking
  • Respond to client inquiries related to accounting and administration
  • Collaborate with your team to meet shared goals and deadlines
  • Assist with front-counter client part purchases and general inquiries
  • Perform general administrative duties as required
