It is responsible for all purchasing, billing, and revenue collection activity for faculties and most service divisions. We perform an operational function, consolidating high volume finance transactional activities relating to the purchasing and supply of goods and services. Job Description Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We are looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join the Shared Transaction Centre for a 6-month full time agreement which requires an immediate start. Supporting the Accounts Payable Team Leader, to work with internal and external stakeholders, maximise automation financial processing, administrative efficiency and improve service delivery across the organisation. Key accountabilities for this position include, but not limited to: Large supplier account reconciliations Requisition requests High volume invoice processing Match exceptions resolutions Receipting escalations Supplier maintenance Co-ordination and execution of foreign and domestic pay runs, working with Treasury, signatories, and the banks. Identify technical roadblocks and opportunities, and suggesting improvements Financial Delegations/Sensitive Expenditure Processing Travel/expenses and reimbursements Accurately matching invoices to Purchase Orders Escalation of issues to the advisory team for internal/external customers Managing the accounts payable function for your portion of the ledger Accurately matching invoices to Purchase Orders Weekly and monthly payment runs Other Ad Hoc duties This is a 6-month Fixed term role (37.5 hours per week) role. Remuneration: $58,000 pa to $63,900 depending on level of experience. He kōrero mōu | About you The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling a large volume of invoices, possess a keen eye for detail, and have robust problem-solving skills, in addition to have sound NZ Legislation knowledge and a relevant tertiary degree Demonstrated skills and experience in an end-to-end Accounts Payable Administrator or similar role Experience in Accounts Payable within a large complex organisation Strong knowledge of New Zealand legislation and statutory requirements IRD knowledge would be advantageous Experience of working to tight deadlines within a high-pressure environment Experience in aspects of ERP systems, preferably in a University environment Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Able to build and maintain strong internal & external relationships Ability to self-direct, use initiative but equally work and contribute as a valued team member High attention to detail and data entry skills Excellent time management and organisational skills Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou | What we offer The University of Auckland is New Zealand’s leading university and maintains significant computational, laboratory and analytic facilities.
