Description

Pacific Customs Brokers is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Administrator to join our team. We are a group of diverse companies operating in both Canada and the United States. All accounting is processed from our Surrey office. The AP position processes AP transactions for several companies within our group in a multi-currency environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years AP experience in a high volume company
  • Must have experience with coding invoices to GL accounts
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Above average communication skill in both speaking and correspondence
  • Organized, attention to detail, professional

ADVANTAGE SKILLS:

  • Experience with a customs or freight forwarding company
  • Experience in multi-company environment
  • Ability to post journal entries in the GL
Responsibilities
  • Processing A/P freight invoices and payments
  • Processing general payable invoices and payments
  • Coding expenses to correct GL accounts
  • Ensure that purchase orders are matched and attached to invoices
  • Ensure that internal approval protocols are followed
  • Accurate archiving of backup (both paper and electronic)
  • Experience with foreign currency exchange
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Liaison with vendors and internal operations staff
  • Other requested administrative tasks as required
