Description

The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for managing the relationship between Crown and subcontractors and suppliers through the receipt, approval, and timely payment to those suppliers. The position will serve as the intermediary between Crown and third party providers
The Accounts Payable Administrator, with approval of the General Manager and Construction CFO, has the authority to· Coordinate payment in conjunction with terms agreed with the supplier and in coordination with company cash flow objectives· Support negotiation of payment terms with suppliersDetermine optimal payment methodologies (including credit cards) that maximize cash flow and profitability while maintaining strong supplier relationships
Core Objectives · Processes all supplier invoices, including supporting determination of appropriate cost codes · Facilitates approval process of invoices with project managers · Coordinates payment on a timely basis of supplier invoices · Supports accounting efforts to maintain appropriate books and records on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis · Participate in audits under direction of CFO.

o Identify quality, safety, and environmental hazards that may arise during the fabrication, installation, and use of temporary works, or execution of construction methods and communicate these to affected project staff.
o Carry out all activities in such a manner to ensure a safe working environment.
· Compliance
o Adherence to the Crown Construction Financial and Administrative Systems.
o Ensure all activities are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes, and standards, which form part of the contract.
o Implementing pertinent requirements of the Project including referenced procedures
Qualifications
High School degree or equivalent.
Experience
5 years’ experience in a similar position
Knowledge and Skills
· Ability to communicate effectively with external parties · Strong organization skills · Proficient in MS Office and other administrative based software applications.
