Summary of the position

• Ensuring that all invoices and travel expenses are properly approved and processed according to agreed standards.
• Correct posting and booking of invoices and expenses in accounts payable.
• Support in preparing payment runs.
• Reconciliation of supplier accounts and direct debit accounts.
• Maintenance of existing and creation of new supplier accounts.
• Management of the accounts payable email mailbox .
• Taking on further ad-hoc tasks and projects related to the accounts payable processes as needed.
• Identifying recurring problems and escalating them to experienced team members, as well as providing suggestions for process optimization.

Necessary

• Solid knowledge of invoice processing, travel expense handling, and accounts payable controls .
• High level of detail with a focus on precise and efficient work, even when completing tasks independently.
• Clear and convincing communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to learn new things, as well as flexibility in the daily handling of tasks in the area of ​​accounts payable.
• A curious and proactive mindset to identify recurring process problems and drive improvements or changes.
• Extreme diligence, excellent organizational skills, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to effectively set priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365.

Desirable

• Experience in a law firm or in a professional services environment.
• Experience with systems such as Elite 3E, Basware, Emburse and/or large ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion, SAP or Workday.
