Accounts Payable Analyst, Calgary(Temp Fixed -Term)
This role contributes to MEG Energy’s success by efficiently handling the day-to-day processing of invoices and contractor LEMS (Labour, Equipment, and Material Summaries) and other accounting analyst duties while working in a team environment.
* Please note, this is a 12-month fixed-term position with compensation as a straight hourly rate*

Your Day to Day will include:

  • Process accounts payable source documents including invoices, LEMS, etc. and check for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure timely distribution of invoices into the workflow approval process.
  • Resolve and follow up on contractor queries and issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in resolving Open Invoice invoicing/accounting issues with employees and contractors.
  • Accurate attesting, coding and processing of contractor invoices for payment.
  • Ensuring all LEM information is accurately reflected in Maximo.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will bring to MEG:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping/accounting role.
  • Previous experience working within the Oil & Gas industry is an asset.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Excel and other MS Office programs is required.
  • Previous experience working with Open Invoice, Maximo and/or Qbyte is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision as well as working within a collaborative team framework.
  • Strong client service skills including working in a positive, responsive, professional and helpful manner with internal and external stakeholders is required.
  • Strong attention to detail along with administration skills including records management is required.
