THE EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field - ACCA, CA, MBA is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., JDE, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Knowledge of local regulations and laws related to accounts payable in Bahrain.
  • Familiarity with internal control frameworks.

Responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and verify invoices for accuracy and proper approval, matching them to purchase orders and receipts, and ensuring compliance with Reckitt’s policies and procedures. This includes the employees expense claim.
  • Supporting VAT team for returns and queries.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate records, adhering to Reckitt’s vendor management guidelines.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, ensuring compliance with company policies, Reckitt’s Control Framework, and local regulations.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting, providing accurate and timely financial data, and ensuring compliance with Reckitt’s financial reporting requirements.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the payment process, implementing changes to enhance efficiency while maintaining compliance with Reckitt’s controls.
  • Ensure all AP activities are conducted in accordance with Reckitt’s Control Framework, policies, and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations.
  • Supporting finance team on audits.
