GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The AP/AR Supervisor will lead a small, tight-knit AP/AR team while actively handling transactional tasks such as invoicing, payment posting, collections, and reconciliations. This hands-on role requires balancing leadership with daily accounting operations to ensure accurate and timely financial processing. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background with a proven track record in process improvement, documentation, automation, and contributing to efficient and scalable financial operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in AP/AR with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).
  • Proficient in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The work environment can vary from office settings to warehouses or transportation hubs, potentially exposing employees to noise, temperature changes, and other environmental factors.
  • Involve extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, with potential for occasional lifting, bending, and stooping, along with the ability to use hands and fingers for computer work.
  • May be required to travel between Oakland and the San Leandro Plant.
