JOB SUMMARY AND QUALIFICATIONS

A person holding the position of Accounting Assist II will understand and be able to operate effectively in all areas of the AP Process. This position carries processing responsibilities, and will be assisting AP leadership with coordinating the daily operations of the AP team. They serve as a customer service liaison and will help enforce established policies and guidelines to identify process improvement opportunities. This position will help ensure processing productivity goals are met and internal controls are satisfactorily maintained. An Accounting Assistant II will assist leadership with training initiatives, and will be involved in developing and mentoring staff members. Additionally, they will be required to participate and lead special projects. Supporting HCA Healthcare’s 186 hospitals and 2,400+ sites of care, Physician Services plays a crucial role as the main entry point for patients looking for high-quality healthcare within the HCA Healthcare system.   • Accounts payable experience preferred

Responsibilities
  • Perform data entry for various financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Responsible for indexing AP documents and utilities.
  • Ensure vendor statements are routed to the appropriate AP personnel.
  • Overseeing the 3rd Party refund payment process for non-standard EMR billing systems.
  • Assist departmental administrative duties including, but not limited to, receiving and distributing mail and checks.
  • Ensure returned check process in completed on a daily basis, includes system voiding checks as necessary.
  • Ensure that all processing and reporting deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality to ensure that privileged and / or proprietary information is adequately safeguarded against disclosure.
  • Assist with special projects, as needed.
