JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose & Scope
Supports the AP Manager by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the AP Department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of modern accounting theory, principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of office automation and computerized financial applications.
  • Strong ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors and /or customers.
  • Ability to lead and supervise employees effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, as well as the ability to adapt quickly to changing needs.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze complex financial reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative to accomplish work objectives.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting or other job-related field, or commensurate work experience, required.
  • 4+ years of work experience in Accounts Payable or Accounting, required.
  • 1+ years of experience in a supervisory role, required.
