ROLE OVERVIEW:
As an Accounts Payable Auditor, you will primarily perform the pre-audit function of reviewing and approving invoices for payment in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment. You will be fully trained in-house to complete all job duties. The job responsibilities require the ideal candidate to be able to work independently with attention to deatail and working kowledge of and ability to use the MicroSoft 365 Office Suite.
The position is responsible for supporting the agency’s mission by completing processing accounts payable transactions to pay vendors timely and accurately. The agency processes approximately 160,000 invoices totalling more than $3.2B annually. The person in this position is required to work independently using established procedures and adhere to guidelines, policies and approved practices complete the pre-audit function for vouchers recommended by the State Board of Accounts and to serve as final approver for vouchers submitted to the Comptroller’s office for payment. The person in this position also creates receipts for goods and services in the State’s financial system.
Salary:
This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $39,000.00. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
Location:
This position is located in INDOT’s Central Office, Indianapolis.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES/DIRECT REPORTS:
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
