Description

Job Title: Accounts Payable ClerkJob Description As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payments and for undertaking the payment of all creditors accurately, efficiently, and timely. This role involves compiling and maintaining accounts payable records while also providing clerical and administrative support as needed. Responsibilities Enter invoices into SAP computer system. Generate accounts payable payments and issue for review and signing. Respond to inquiries regarding the status of payments. Verify statements and request outstanding invoices. Verify invoices for sales tax compliance. Provide support, worksheets, and information to auditors as required. Perform or assist with any operations required to maintain workflow and meet schedules and quality requirements. Notify supervision of unusual operating problems. Maintain a safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules. Participate in meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified levels of knowledge about new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar degree OR 5+ years of experience in accounts payable. 2+ years of accounts payable experience handling 50-100 invoices daily (three-way match) in a manufacturing/distribution setting. Experience with larger ERP systems. Proficiency in Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and VLOOKUPs. Additional Skills & Qualifications SAP experience (strongly preferred). Work Environment The role requires working onsite five days a week, with hours from 9am to 5pm or 8am to 4pm. You will report to the AP manager and supervisor within a large team, typically grouped in mentor/mentee pairs. The office environment is shared, with 2-4 people per office.
