Responsibilities: The Accounts Payable Clerk I is responsible for the overall processing of payable invoices and dealing with the public business of the Auditor’s office. Performs additional clerical duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Associates degree in accounting or technical program and/or completion of core coursework in accounting or an equivalent field.
· Minimum of 3 years accounts payable experience.
· Must successfully complete 120 day period of probation.
TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
· Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
· Basic accounting and math skills.
· Good communication skills and telephone technique.
· Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
