Overview The H&K Group, Inc. is looking for the ideal Accounts Payable Associate! The accounts payable associate compiles, classifies, records, verifies, and maintains data to accounts payable records. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented and dependable. Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepares, sorts, copies, and files invoices, correspondence, and other requested items. Audits invoices against purchase orders. Posts invoices into accounting system for payment. Balances monthly statements. Assists in monthly and annual closing. Provides daily payment information and totals. Assists with related special projects, as required. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications Required Skills, Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited educational institution or three months related training and/or experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Experience using various spreadsheet, word processing and specialized accounting software. Written and verbal communication skills Mathematical skills Preferred Skills, Education and Experience Associate degree in accounting, business administration or related field Experience with accounts payable in heavy civil construction, road construction or other heavy industry Physical Demands Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear Frequently required to sit Occasionally required to stand,k walk stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; life and/or move up to 15 pounds Specific vision abilities required are closevision; ability to adjust focus Work Environment Noise level is usually quiet H&K provides complete heavy civil contracting and construction materials solutions with safety, speed, quality, efficiency and value.
