QUALIFICATIONS

  • At minimum, an associate degree in Accounting or related field
  • 3-4 years of experience with collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong Excel skills required (Pivot tables, V-Lookup, Sum if statements)
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data
  • Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and professional follow-up protocol
  • High level of organization and work-flow implementation
  • High degree of familiarity with accounts receivable functions
  • Knowledge of JDEdwards system a plus

Responsibilities
  • Prepare daily cash receipts for processing – ACH, Wire and Checks
  • Process accounts receivable transactions – Credit Memos, Debit Memos, Chargebacks, Research Deductions according to the Expenditure Authorization Policy
  • Work with the Customer Service department to resolve any discrepancies
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Review and release/hold orders entered that are on credit check
  • Perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner (Bank Reconciliation, Intercompany activity, etc.)
  • Manage collection efforts and associated functions - customer follow-ups, providing invoice copies, statements, etc.
  • Month End Journal Entries as required
  • Provide support for internal and external audits
  • Continuous evaluation of current policies and recommendations for process improvements
  • Perform ad hoc tasks – process documentation, customer account reviews to update records, etc.
  • Perform other accounting, financial or administrative tasks, including special projects, that may be required.
