Description

Parlee McLaws LLP is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk with proven experience in a high-volume payable environment to join our team as soon as possible. This role is located at our downtown Edmonton office with hours of work as Monday to Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM (40 hours/week).
The successful candidate will report to the Director of Finance and is a self-starter who learns quickly with high attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and outstanding customer service.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma supplemented by an Accounting Certificate or Diploma
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relative experience in a high-volume payables environment, preferably in a law firm
  • Knowledge of 3E Elite and / or ERP software
  • Familiarity with electronic payment systems
  • Successful completion of all tasks related to accounts payable processing, verification and reconciliation of transactions including cheques, invoices, and cheque requisitions
  • Employee expense reimbursements
  • Company credit card reconciliations and follow-up
  • Highly organized and pro-active approach to meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office Suite; Excel skills are an asset
  • Must speak, read, and write English fluently (additional languages are an asset)
