Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients team on a contract basis in Surrey, British Columbia. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the timely processing of invoices and expense reports. This position offers a hybrid work environment, with initial training conducted in-office followed by remote work.

Responsibilities
  • Review and process a high volume of invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding in the accounting system.
  • Manage employee expense submissions, verifying compliance with company policies and resolving discrepancies.
  • Handle credit card transactions, including matching receipts, verifying purchase orders, and processing daily transactions.
  • Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts to ensure proper documentation and approval.
  • Conduct small-scale reconciliations, such as Visa account reconciliations, to maintain accurate records.
  • Follow up on missing receipts, incomplete documentation, and outstanding approvals to ensure timely processing.
  • Support monthly and end-of-month batch processing and contractor invoice management.
  • Assist with general ledger coding and transaction review to support financial accuracy.
  • Collaborate with team members to track and resolve payment issues and client reimbursements.
  • Maintain an organized, paperless workflow by leveraging technology and adhering to company processes.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar role.
  • Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage 500, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with invoice processing, coding, and three-way matching.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to follow-ups and issue resolution.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of transactions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience in a paperless, technology-driven workflow is an asset.
