Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Clerk for an exciting opportunity with our client located in South Windsor, CT . Job Responsibilities
Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and payments in an efficient and accurate manner.
Monitor and manage recurring payment schedules to ensure timely processing.
Maintain detailed records of accounts payable transactions, including vendor communications and approvals.
Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal staff, resolving payment issues as needed.
Assist in monthly closing and financial reporting processes.
Support the maintenance of internal controls to ensure financial data integrity.
Stay updated on company policies, procedures, and compliance regulations related to accounts payable.
Desired Qualifications
1+ year of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems).
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize effectively and manage workloads within deadlines.
Excellent communication skills when interacting with vendors and team members.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred, though not required).
